TRANSIT\ION is a London based artist collective comprised of Magda Fabianczyk, Niels Staats, Arunas Survila and Mathilda Fowler.
Their work, often taking the form of video installations, photography, performance and sculpture, is produced in response to events and encounters devised to bring culturally distinct groups together for a shared experience and exchange. Initiating these events TRANSIT\ION provides an open-ended framework, enabling cooperative artistic practise in an effort to mutually discover new creative possibilities.
TRANSIT\ION COLLECTIVE and the TRANSFORMATION project are a development of TRANSIT 2009, a workshop that took place in Kolkata last January with Patachitra artists from India.
